Configuring Azure Lab Policies

Adding, managing, and applying Azure Policies to Vocareum Cloud Labs.

Azure Policies can be applied to individual assignments to allow specific Azure resources and restrict learners from unwanted access to resources unrelated to their course.

These policies are managed by Admins at the organization level and can be applied to assignments by Teachers.

Manage Policies

Admins can create and manage Azure Policies for their Organization.

First, make sure Azure is enabled for your Organization. If it is enabled, an Azure option will appear in your Control Center navigation bar.

In the Azure Settings, you can add, edit, or delete Policies.

From the console, select the Azure org you wish to use. Define and edit your Azure policies on the org level to be applied on the part level (Azure policies).

Once your policies are defined you can apply them to your assignments on the part level.

Apply Policies to an Azure Lab

Navigate to the Edit Assignments page of a Vocareum Course.

Open the Part settings of a lab and navigate to Lab Resources. Toggle "Cloud Labs", and select Azure, then click "Manage Policies."

In the Azure Policy window that appears, you can preview and select your policies, then click Apply to use them for the current assignment part.

Be sure to save the Part settings before exiting if you have made any changes.
