For cases where you have copied an existing Canvas course and want to create a copy of the Vocareum course previously associated with the original Canvas course. This process will preserve the LTI links in your Canvas course copy and ensure they redirect to the corresponding locations in the new Vocareum course.
Pre-requisites:
LTI 1.3 connection with Vocareum configured in your Canvas instance
A copy of an existing Canvas course that included LTI 1.3 connections to a Vocareum course
LTI App Configuration
From your Canvas Admin settings, navigate to the Developer Key that was created and configured for Vocareum (as covered in this guide).
Find the Vocareum LTI 1.3 Developer Key and under 'Actions' select 'Edit this key'. Scroll down to Additional Settings and open the dropdown to find 'Custom Fields'. Add a value in the Custom Fields block with the following format:
lms_courseid=$Canvas.course.id
Save Changes
Cloning A Vocareum Course from Canvas
Within a new Canvas course, select 'Vocareum' from the course navigation menu.
Because no Vocareum courses are already connected to this new Canvas course, you'll be given a choice of three actions. In this case, you will need to select 'Clone a Vocareum Course and Redirect LTI Links'
Once the Deep Linking Tool opens, search for the Vocareum course that the parent Canvas course was associated with and click 'Clone and Redirect':
Once the new Vocareum course clone is created, all LTI-related resources/links should now be redirected in the Canvas course.
